Babylonian Talmud, Shabbat 68b
Rabbi Yochanan and Rabbi Shimon ben Lakish both said, “. . . A child that was captured by the gentiles, and a convert that converted amidst the gentiles, is exempt.” [Translation by Rabbi Steve Greenberg]

Suggested Discussion Questions:

Why is a child captured by the gentiles exempt?

Could a gay person be seen in the same light?

What would the implications be of a comparing these two?"
