Leviticus 18:24-25, 28
2 ב
Do not defile yourselves in any of those ways, for it is by such that the nations that I am casting out before you defiled themselves. Thus the land became defiled; and I called it to account for its iniquity, and the land vomited out its inhabitants...So let not the land vomit you out for defiling it, as it vomited out the nation that came before you. Suggested Discussion Questions:

1. The image of the land vomiting out a population is quite powerful. The holy land, so to speak, gets sick to its stomach. Sexuality in other rabbinic sources is a form of life energy. Here eating too much or the wrong food leads to vomiting. What association might you make between healthy eating and healthy sexual expression?
