About This Text

Author: Yissachar Eilenburg
Be’er Sheva (Seven Wells) is a collection of responsa by Rabbi Yissachar Eilenburg, a rabbi in the late 16th and early 17th centuries in Goritz and in Moravia. Be’er Sheva is the name of his collection of seven commentaries on the talmudic tractates for which there are no commentaries of Tosafot. In the back of his collection, Eilenburg included a collection of responsa entitled “Ner Torah.”
