Tsom Gedaliah ("the Fast of Gedaliah") is a minor fast day between Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur, observed from dawn to nightfall, commemorating the assasination of a Judean official (Gedaliah) by fellow Judeans - an act that led to further dispersal during the Babylonian Exile.צום גדליה הוא צום קל החל בין ראש השנה ליום כיפור. הוא נמשך מעלות השחר ועד הלילה ומצוין לזכר רציחתו של פקיד מיהודה (גדליה) על-ידי תושבי יהודה - מעשה שהוביל לפיזור נוסף של העם בגלות בבל.
