נתתי לכם את כל.
מאחר שניצלו בתיבה שעשיתם ועל ידכם באה להם הצלה הרי הם בידכם לעשות להם כטוב בעיניכם.
נתתי לכם את כל, “I give you all these”
Since they (the animals) were saved by you, in the ark that you made-- they are hereby in your hands, to do with them as is good in your eyes.
רַבָּנָן אָמְרֵי אֲפִלּוּ דְבָרִים שֶׁאַתָּה רוֹאֶה אוֹתָן שֶׁהֵן יְתֵירָה בָּעוֹלָם, כְּגוֹן זְבוּבִין וּפַרְעוֹשִׁין וְיַתּוּשִׁין, אַף הֵן בִּכְלַל בְּרִיָּתוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם הֵן, וּבַכֹּל הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא עוֹשֶׂה שְׁלִיחוּתוֹ, אֲפִלּוּ עַל יְדֵי נָחָשׁ, אֲפִלּוּ עַל יְדֵי יַתּוּשׁ, אֲפִלּוּ עַל יְדֵי צְפַרְדֵּעַ.
Our rabbis teach: even things that seem to you to be extraneous in this world-- like flies, fleas, and mosquitos-- even these are part of the creation of the world. And the Holy Blessed One uses them all as emissaries: even a snake, even a mosquito, even a frog.
