(ז) דָּבָר אַחֵר, וַיהוה עָנָה בִי, כָּל עִנְיָנֶיהָ לָא הֲוָה אֶלָּא בִי, לְפִי שֶׁבָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה וַיהוה עָנָה בִי, אֲבָל לֶעָתִיד לָבוֹא מַה כְּתִיב (ירמיה לב, מא): וְשַׂשְׂתִּי עֲלֵיהֶם לְהֵטִיב אוֹתָם.
(7) Alternatively: “The Lord afflicted [ana] me” – all of His concern [inyan] was with me, as in this world, the Lord afflicted [ana] me. But regarding the future, what is written? “I will rejoice over them to do them good” (Jeremiah 32:41).
(טו) וַתֹּאמַרְנָה הַנָּשִׁים אֶל נָעֳמִי בָּרוּךְ יהוה אֲשֶׁר לֹא הִשְׁבִּית לָךְ גֹּאֵל הַיּוֹם (רות ד, יד), מָה הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה רוֹדֶה בָּרָקִיעַ, כָּךְ יְהֵא בְּזַרְעֵךְ, רוֹדֶה וְשַׁלִּיט בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל לְעוֹלָם. אָמַר רַבִּי חוּנְיָא מִבִּרְכוֹתֵיהֶן שֶׁל נָשִׁים לֹא נִתְקַעְקְעָה בֵּיצָתוֹ שֶׁל דָּוִד...
(15) “The women said to Naomi: Blessed is the Lord, who has not left you without a redeemer today, and may his name be proclaimed in Israel” (Ruth 4:14). “The women said to Naomi: Blessed is the Lord, who has not left you without a redeemer today.” Just as the day rules over the heavens, so, it will be with your descendants; they will dominate and rule over Israel forever. (ו) וַיִּצְבָּט לָהּ קָלִי, קַלִּיל זְעֵיר בִּשְׁתֵּי אֶצְבְּעוֹתָיו. ...אָמַר רַבִּי יִצְחָק בַּר מַרְיוֹן בָּא הַכָּתוּב לְלַמֶּדְךָ שֶׁאִם אָדָם עוֹשֶׂה מִצְוָה יַעֲשֶׂנָּה בְּלֵבָב שָׁלֵם...וְאִלּוּ הָיָה יוֹדֵעַ בֹּעַז שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מַכְתִּיב עָלָיו: וַיִּצְבָּט לָהּ קָלִי וַתֹּאכַל וַתִּשְׂבַּע וַתֹּתַר, עֲגָלוֹת מְפֻטָּמוֹת הָיָה מַאֲכִילָהּ. רַבִּי כֹּהֵן וְרַבִּי יְהוֹשֻׁעַ דְּסִכְנִין בְּשֵׁם רַבִּי לֵוִי לְשֶׁעָבַר הָיָה אָדָם עוֹשֶׂה מִצְוָה וְהַנָּבִיא כּוֹתְבָהּ, וְעַכְשָׁיו כְּשֶׁאָדָם עוֹשֶׂה מִצְוָה מִי כּוֹתְבָהּ, אֵלִיָּהוּ כּוֹתְבָהּ וּמֶלֶךְ הַמָּשִׁיחַ וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא חוֹתֵם עַל יְדֵיהֶם...
(6) “He handed her roasted grain,” a light, small amount, with his two fingers. ... Rabbi Yitzḥak bar Maryon said: The verse comes to teach you that if a person performs a mitzva he should perform it wholeheartedly...Had Boaz known that the Holy One blessed be He was dictating in his regard: “He handed her roasted grain, and she ate, was sated, and there was some left over,” he would have fed her fattened calves. Rabbi Kohen and Rabbi Yehoshua of Sikhnin in the name of Rabbi Levi: In the past, a person would perform a mitzva and the prophet would write it. Now, when a person performs a mitzva, who writes it? Elijah writes it, and the messianic king, and the Holy One blessed be He affixes a seal for them.
(סא) וְהָיָ֤ה לְבַבְכֶם֙ שָׁלֵ֔ם עִ֖ם יהוה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ לָלֶ֧כֶת בְּחֻקָּ֛יו וְלִשְׁמֹ֥ר מִצְוֺתָ֖יו כַּיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
(61) And may you be wholehearted with the LORD our God, to walk in His ways and keep His commandments, even as now.”
