  1. What is a Sefaria sheet?
    • A sheet is a user created webpage which can include sources from the Sefaria library, outside texts, media, and comments.
    • Sheets are connected to the Sefaria library and, if listed, are searchable.
    • Sheets can be shared.
    • Sheets can always be edited and adapted.
    • Sheets are a great way to collect your ideas, teach others, and contribute to the Sefaria library.
  2. Before you get started
    • You must be logged into your Sefaria account in order to create a sheet.
    • If you don't already have a free Sefaria account, you can sign up for a free account.
    • Sheets are created and edited on the website only. www.sefaria.org
  3. Creating a sheet
    • From your profile page, click on "Create a New Sheet".
    • Rename your sheet and click "Save". You only need to save once. All future changes will be saved automatically.

  4. Adding material to your sheet.
    • View the sheet in edit mode to edit and format your sheet.
    • Additions to the sheet can be made anywhere you see a +. Click on the + and choose which type of material you would like to add and follow the directions.
    • Five types of material can be added to a sheet: a source from the Sefaria library, a library source connected to the first source, an outside text, media, and comments.
    • A source can be added to a sheet directly from the Sefaria library. Click on the text you would like to add, click on "Sheets" in the sidebar, select the sheet you would like to add to and click "Add to Sheet".

This is the story of Isaac, son of Abraham. Abraham begot Isaac. Isaac was forty years old when he took to wife Rebekah, daughter of Bethuel the Aramean of Paddan-aram, sister of Laban the Aramean. Isaac pleaded with the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren; and the LORD responded to his plea, and his wife Rebekah conceived. But the children struggled in her womb, and she said, “If so, why do I exist?” She went to inquire of the LORD, and the LORD answered her, “Two nations are in your womb, Two separate peoples shall issue from your body; One people shall be mightier than the other, And the older shall serve the younger.”
