(ז) וַיִּקַּח סֵפֶר הַבְּרִית וַיִּקְרָא בְּאָזְנֵי הָעָם וַיֹּאמְרוּ כֹּל אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יְהוָה נַעֲשֶׂה וְנִשְׁמָע.
(7) And he [Moses] took the book of the covenant, and read in the hearing of the people; and they said: ‘All that the LORD has spoken will we do, and obey [we will listen].’
- How can you do something before you listen (to hear what you are supposed to do)?
- What does this willingness to do and then listen tell us about the Jewish people?
