(2) It is from the roots of the commandment that a person know and put into his heart that everything that happens to him - good and bad - the cause of it coming to him is from God, blessed be He. And from the hand of man - from the hand of a man to his brother - there would not be anything without the will of G-d, blessed be He. Hence, when a person caused him pain or hurt him, he should know for himself that his [own] sins caused [it], and that G-d, may He be blessed, ordained this for him. And he should not place his thoughts to taking vengeance from [the one who pained him], since he is not the cause of his evil, but rather the sin is the cause; like David, peace be upon him, stated (II Samuel 16:11), "leave him to curse, since the Lord told him [so]" - he made the matter depend upon his [own] sin, and not upon Shimei ben Gera. And there is also a great benefit found in this commandment, in quieting a dispute and removing enmity from the heart of people. And when there is peace among people, G-d, may He be blessed, will make peace for them.
(6) Fifth Theory.--This is our theory, or that of our Law.
Another fundamental principle taught by the Law of Moses is this: Wrong cannot be ascribed to God in any way whatever; all evils and afflictions as well as all kinds of happiness of man, whether they concern one individual person or a community, are distributed according to justice; they are the result of strict judgment that admits no wrong whatever. Even when a person suffers pain in consequence of a thorn having entered into his hand, although it is at once drawn out, it is a punishment that has been inflicted on him [for sin], and the least pleasure he enjoys is a reward [for some good action]; all this is meted out by strict justice; as is said in Scripture, "all his ways are judgment" (Deut. 32:4); we are only ignorant of the working of that judgment.
Iggeret hakodesh 11
This can be achieved only when there is an absolute belief in the creator of the world this means that the creation of "that which exists" "out of the state of nothingness" which is called the reishit chachmoh, Which is not a apprehensible to any created being, this creation occurs at every time and moment at which all created beings coming to being ex nihilo through God's wisdom which animates everything.
now when a man will contemplate in the depths of his understandings and will forever picture in his mind how he comes into being ex-nihilo at every single moment, how can he entertain the thought that he is suffering, or has any afflictions related to "Children life and substance," or whatever otherworldly suffering?
For the "nothingness" which is G-d's chochmah Is the source of Life goodness, and Delight, it is the Eden that transcends the world to come, except that, being it is not apprehensible, one imagines that he is suffering, or afflicted. in Truth however "no evil descends from above," and everything is good, though it is not apprehended at such because of its immense and abundance goodness.
and this is the essence of the faith for which Man was created: to believe that "there is no place void of him" and "in the light of the king's countenance there is a life" accordingly, "strength and gladdnens are in his place" because he is but good all the time. therefore, first of all, man ought to be happy and joyous at every time and hour,
This is analogous to a compassionate, wise and righteous father who hits his son. Surely a wise son should not turn his back to escape and find himself help, or even an intercessor to his father, who is compassionate, righteous and kind (chassid).Rather, he will look straight at his father, face to face, bearing his smacks lovingly for his lifelong benefit...
The suggested advice to enable one to accept [it] with love, is G‑d’s counsel through the mouth of our Sages, of blessed memory — “to examine one’s conduct.” as in the simile of a great and awesome king who, out of his immense love for his only son, personally washes off the filth from him.As it is written,“When G‑d will wash off the filth from the daughters of Zion... with a spirit of justice...”Then, “as in water face reflects face,”there will be an arousal of love in the heart of everyone who perceives and understands the preciousness of the nature of G‑d’s love for the nether beings, for those who find themselves in this world, the lowest of all worlds.
This [Divine love] is dearer and better than all the [kinds of] life of all the worlds, both spiritual and material;
as it is written, “How precious is Your lovingkindness (Chesed)....”
[It is likewise written,] “For Your Chesed is better than life....”
Rav Huna said that Rav said that Rabbi Meir said; and so it was taught in a baraita in the name of Rabbi Akiva: One must always accustom oneself to say: Everything that God does, He does for the best. The Gemara relates: Like this incident, when Rabbi Akiva was walking along the road and came to a certain city, he inquired about lodging and they did not give him any. He said: Everything that God does, He does for the best. He went and slept in a field, and he had with him a rooster, a donkey and a candle. A gust of wind came and extinguished the candle; a cat came and ate the rooster; and a lion came and ate the donkey. He said: Everything that God does, He does for the best. That night, an army came and took the city into captivity. It turned out that Rabbi Akiva alone, who was not in the city and had no lit candle, noisy rooster or donkey to give away his location, was saved. He said to them: Didn’t I tell you? Everything that God does,He does for the best.
(2) worship the L-RD in gladness; come into His presence with shouts of joy.
And this ought to be your life long task, done with great joy, the joy of the Soul on its release from a "disgraceful" body "returning to her father's house, as in her youth," which happens during Torah study and worship...
[its impossible to truly attach yourself to g-d without observing the 248 commands which are the 248 "organs of the king".]
Envision that the Creator, whose glory fills the earth, He and His presence are continually with you. This is the most subtle of all experiences.
Tell yourself, “He is the Master of all that occurs in the world. He can do anything I desire. And therefore, it makes no sense for me to put my confidence in anything else but Him, may He be blessed.”
Rejoice constantly. Ponder and believe with complete faith that the Divine Presence is with you and protecting you; that you are bound up with the Creator and the Creator is bound up with you, with your every limb and every faculty; that your focus is fixed on the Creator and the Creator’s focus is fixed upon you.
