וְשׁוֹר אוֹ שֶׂה אֹתוֹ וְאֶת בְּנוֹ לֹא תִשְׁחֲטוּ בְּיוֹם אֶחָד:
However, no animal from the herd or from the flock shall be slaughtered on the same day with its young. [JPS translation]
