Babylonian Talmud, Yoma 80b
Resh Lakish said: One who gorges themselves with food on Yom Kippur is free from punishment. Why? Because Scripture said: “Any person who does not afflict themselves throughout the day shall be cut off from his kin” (Leviticus 23:29), and that excludes one who does themselves harm by excessive eating.
