צעק to cry, cry out, shout.
    — Qal - צָעַק 1 he cried, cried out, shouted; 2 he complained.
    — Niph. - נִצֽעַק was called together, was summoned, was assembled.
    — Pi. - צִעֵק he cried out loud.
    — Niph. - נִצֽטַעֵק he burst into shouting.
    — Hiph. - הִצְעִיק he called together. [Aram. צֽעֵק (= he cried, he complained), Arab. ṣa‘aqa (= was noisy; it sounded like thunder; he stunned, stupefied), ṣā‘iqa (= thunderbolt), ṣa‘iqa (= it bellowed — said of a bull). cp. the secondary form זעק.] Derivatives: צַעַק, צְעָקָה, צַעֲקָן, הִצְטַעֲקוּת.
